About Value Bets
What is a Value Bet?
The odds a bookmaker offers imply a chance of winning; our AI model has its own. When the model rates a selection's chance clearly higher than the odds imply, backing it is worth more than it costs over many bets. That is a Value Bet: the odds are wrong in your favour.
Why do Value Bets lose more often than they win?
Because most of them are at longer odds. A bet at 3.40 wins well under half the time; it pays when it wins more often than those odds say. That is why Value Bets are judged on their profit over many bets, never on the next one, and why this page shows the losses as well as the wins.
How is the ROI worked out?
Every Value Bet counts as the same stake at the odds we published. A win at 3.00 returns 2.00 on a stake of 1, a loss costs the 1; the ROI is the total profit divided by the total staked. A single winning bet at 3.00 would be +200%, which is why the page always shows how many bets the figure comes from.
Do I need an account to see Value Bets?
Only before kick-off. Sign in with a free account to see the match, the pick and the odds. Once the match is played, its Value Bet is graded here for everyone, wins and losses.
Which matches get Value Bets?
Only competitions where the model has been measured against real bookmaker odds, and only when the odds are clearly in your favour. Some days have none, and the page says so rather than inventing one.
